Description: The Maryland Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE) encourages, engages and empowers our community to understand, responsibly use and promote the natural world. MAEOE is pleased to offer (3) $1500 scholarships scholarships for current high school seniors planning to pursue a college, university, or technical degree in a field related to the environment. The scholarship can be used to cover tuition, housing, books, or any education related expenses.
Eligibility: Maryland resident high school seniors enrolled in, accepted by, or currently applying to a college, university, or technical school for an undergraduate or associate degree. Students must be pursuing or planning to pursue a degree related to the environment. (Majors could include environmental studies, environmental education, and environmental sciences (e.g. conservation biology, natural resources, environmental engineering, sustainability, and climate change solutions)).
Successful applicants will demonstrate a passion for the environment, green schools leadership, community leadership, and/or advocacy.
